  • What I see is a man in a suit lying down in the front seat of a car with a hat hanging next to the steering wheel, and an old town showing through the window in the background.
  • The ratio is 1:1.
  • There are many lines in this picture; most of them are created by the window. For example, the horizontal line that divides the photo in two different scenes (background and foreground) and the two vertical parallel lines on the sides. The bottom half of the picture is divided by two oblique lines (one from the bottom left and one from the bottom right) that intersect each other in a "x" shape. Finally, there is a curved line on the top right corner created by the hat and the windshield.
  • The photographer used a wide angle lens.

  • This picture shows a small town or city in the older days. There is a worker on break pondering life at a pinic table, while other people are resting, enjoying their day on the side of the building. The signs on the mailbox, Coca-Cola, and Hot dogs look antique indicating the picture is from an older time (probably from when our grandparents were young). It looks like the usual place to congergate.
  • Ratio is 4:3
  • The srong lines shown are the trees in the background, the mailbox post, the benches at the pinic table and the diagional lines of the street toward the people and the diagonal lines on the roof that lead someones eye torward the people.
  • I think this is a telephoto lens because it looks like objects are overlapping because the woman looks like she is behind the mailbox and the man at the pinic table in the same line as the people that should be behind him.

Jessica Wigand
  • This picture shows an older man meditating or enjoying a book. The walls are pale, but the carpet and fan are dark. Sunlight is coming into the room.
  • Ratio is 2:3
  • The strong lines shown are the lines of the fan going off into different directions that leads our eyes toward the old man. Also the lines of the dark carpet going horizontally, the man that is a little lighter, and then the white wall. There are also lines on the wall that lead to the mans head and legs.
  • Wide angle lens because the fan in front of the man is much larger than it should be than with a normal lens.

Jessica Wigand
  • I see a young child looking out into the distance and she is enclosed in an area that is surrounded by a wired fence where she cannot escape. There are dark clouds in the background, or it could be factory smoke. The child looks like she comes from a poor family (no shoes and mismatched clothes).
  • Ratio is 3:3
  • The strong lines are the wire fence going horizontally and vertically. The other lines are of the whole picture going horizontally at the different layers of the background: ground, buildings, and the sky.
  • Wide angle lens because the subject is large compared to the background.

  • What I see in the photo is a group of people sitting in a triangle shape. They are all sitting in chairs. There is one women in the group sitting in the center. With two windows in the background. A dark floor with light walls. The light is coming through the window on the right side.
  • The ratio of this photo is 2:3.
  • The first strong line that I noticed was the straight angled lines leading to the center of the photo along the back wall. The back corner of the room, all lines seem to lead to the back. The second line is the straight oblique lines created by the people that are angled outwards, away from the center of the photo.  The combination of these two strong sets of lines creates a central square in the photo. These lines are what focuses the viewer on the subjects, forcing the main focus on the women in the center. the additional lines in the photo are the vertical line on the back wall to create the corner of the room and that is the dividing line in the photo, splitting the background into two. And Lastly, the two lines on the ceiling that are angled down also reaching the center line of the photo.
  • The lens being used in this photo is a wide lens.

- I see an older lady walking in the streets of a city with cars passing buy with many buildings around her. Her hair is done up and is wearing a nice coat. The shadow on her coat is a guy that is taking the picture.
- Wide lens because this picture looks closer up compared to the background.
- One of the lines I see are on the street where the cars are passing by as well by the windows.

Marissa Petrone
This picture shows the inside of a car by a dessert with the shadow showing and the sun coming in from the left of the car.
The strong line is shown on the car on the window where it separates from the light and the shadow on the side.
This is a normal lens

  • What I see is a dead fish lying on some newspaper pages.
  • The ratio is 4:3.
  • This picture is very geometrical. The strongest line is the diagonal created by the light. The photo is symmetrically divided into four by the central vertical line of the newspaper and the fish lying horizontally. Also, the scene is horizontally divided into three rectangles (two small ones at the top and at the bottom, and the big one in the center containing the fish.)
  • The lens used is a normal lens.

Lisa Matrale
  • What I see in the photo is Arnold Schwarzenegger standing in a room in black underwear, flexing. The room has dark wooden floors with a dark decorated curtain and a white wall.
  • The ratio of this photo is 3:3.
  • The first strong line that I noticed was the curved oblique line made by the edge of the dark curtain against the white wall. The second line is the horizontal line separating the floor from the wall. The combination of these two strong lines creates a three part division in the photo. The outline of Arnold's body is also a very strong and defined. This contour line is what makes the subject pop and separates him from the background.
  • The lens being used in this photo is a normal lens.

This pictures shows us a picture of a little girl in a dress up against a wall wit no shoes on. She looks very young and by herself. The picture here shows it was windy because her hair is being flipped to the left side.
This is a normal lens
One strict line here is the horizontal line going in-between the wall by the shadow and also on the top left by her head.

  • What I see in the photo is a dalmatian laying on a cushion on a beach with a human laying on the cushion with it. The background has a body of water as well as an elevated surrounding land.
  • The ratio of this photo is 2:3.
  • The first strong line that I noticed was the oblique line in the middle of the piece, of the human's leg, that separates the background from the subjects. The second line is the oblique line separating the cushion and the beach  Lastly, the third line is the horizon line separating the body of water from the surrounding land. The combination of these three strong lines help the subjects be identified quickly and become more profound. Thus creating foreground and background in this photo.
  • The lens being used in this photo is a normal lens.

I notice that town is very clean, and a few people in the background.
- i think this photo is taken with a wide lens camera

                                                                Nick Deleonardis
-This is a photo taken in a city with multiple buildings around it.
-There is light hitting the back buildings while the two closer buildings are in the shade.
- The strong lines in the photo are shown from the buildings on the sides and street going vertical.
- The farther lines in the back are going horizontal.
- The lens used in this photo appears to be telephoto lens.

Nick Deleonardis
- This picture is a side street in the city.
-The photo is taken in daylight
-There is a fair amount of people roaming the sreets.
-There are strong long lines running from the street vertically
-This appears to be taken with a telephoto lens because many things are overlapping.

Sabrina
  • The subject of this photo is a little girl and a little boy standing on a rug and holding each other's hands in a room.
  • The ratio is 2:3.
  • The strongest line is the vertical line in the center created by the closed door that coincides with the arms of the children. Another strong line is the horizontal one that separates the white door and the dark floor.
  • The lens used is a normal one.

-In This photo is see a bunch of red chairs lined up neatly facing in one direction, towards a stage.
-The stage is in the middle surrounded by trees. The stage has a background and a floor also with hand bars on the side.
-On the right side of the photo there are palm trees
-It looks like the ground is covered in some form of gravel with some plants growing out of it.
-I think this picture was taken with a normal lens.
-The lines that stick out too me are the lines from the stage, and the back line of chairs lined up in a straight line.

Nicole Haber
-In this photo there is a small read couch in the left side against the wall.

-On the right side pressed up against the coke machine looks like a short table with a checkered table cloth on it.
-The wall is two different colors bottom half looks like it is also textured with wood molding on it.
-On the upper half of the wall is a long picture in a picture frame of mountains roads and trees.
-I think this was taken with a normal lens.
